Trattoria L´essenza was founded by two men with 20 years of friendship and a passion for great food and service.  Specializing in freshly made Roman style pizzas as well as delicious pasta, meat and fish dishes.  

Fresh ingredients is their priority to bring authentic flavors to every dish.  The extensive wine menu showcases a diverse selection of grape varieties, there really is something to suit every palate and occasion. After over a decade owning and working together in a popular Italian restaurant in Puerto del Carmen which was unfortunatly forced to close during covid pandemic, the two then came together to open a steakhouse which quickly became to go-to place for the islands residents and tourists alike.  In 2025 the pair were given an opportunity they couldn´t refuse, so decided to move onwards, or you could say backwards, to Italian cuisine.

Every detail has been chosen to create a warm, welcoming dining experience.  They bring great food ... you bring great company!
